Job description The position:
We wish to appoint a researcher to join our PRO team based in the pretty village of Bollington on the edge of the Peak District and a short distance from the exciting city of Manchester. This is a great opportunity if you are a highly motivated researcher with a genuine interest to enhance your knowledge and skills in healthcare research in a challenging and rapid-moving field. We will provide you with all the necessary training and support for your professional development. In return we expect you to rapidly build on your existing knowledge and skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Your role will be exciting and varied in international healthcare research projects. You will perform, analyse and report health-related quality of life, patient satisfaction, and other PRO studies. As a (Senior) Research Associate you will gain project management experience by leading small studies. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
* Performing literature research and data abstraction for economic evaluations
* Interviewing of research subjects
* Conducting qualitative data analysis
* Preparation of project documents and development of patient-based questionnaires
* Liaising with physicians and patient recruitment agencies
* Assisting in preparing presentations for client meeting and scientific conferences

When joining the PRO team of Mapi values, the patient will be at the heart of your work. You will develop PRO endpoints, screeners, and other PRO tools to evaluate the benefit of treatments in clinical research as well as in clinical practice. You will provide critical data to support our clients in getting their products approved, differentiated and properly prescribed and reimbursed.
Skills and Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of literature research methodology, experience of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, and strong writing and communication skills. You have the ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and deliver work of excellent quality to tight timelines. You are able to coordinate project tasks efficiently and effectively. You enjoy being part of a team, and will take pride in the achievements of the project team. You will have a degree in health psychology, psychology, sociology or life sciences, plus at least one year of work experience. However we will also consider candidates with an advanced degree in health psychology (MA, MSc, PhD) without any work experience.
